| 2008 Club Championship Tournament | RCRC's 2008 Club Championship Tennis Tournament Who: Members only. Anyone not a member must join and pay full dues by the 1st of October. When: Sept. 26th, 27th, and 28th 2008 Deadline for entries are Tuesday, Sept. 23rd 6pm Cost: Singles $8 / Doubles/Mixed $5 per person Sign-up forms are available here and bring it into the club. Prizes: First prize in singles is a $30 gift cert to Overhead Smash and first in doubles is $20 per person gift certificate. You can use the gift certificate at the main location or at the Boise Racket and Swim Pro shop. Prizes will be awarded for 2nd and consolation and amounts will be determined by how many entrants we get. Ken and Melissa Stringfield will have slow smoked meat and beans on Saturday until it runs out. Snacks and Drink : The club will have a few snacks and drinks available. If you can please bring a snack to share with everyone throughout the tournament. We would appreciate it. Turkey Shoot Out Raffle - Hosted by Jennifer and Bill at 5:30 on Saturday night. Various prizes on the court and when they feed the ball if you hit one of the targets you win the prize. The prizes range from grips, shirts and hats, to racket stringing and free lessons. If anyone has misc tennis items they would like to have given away during the raffle please bring them to the office. | Idaho State Tennis Championship 2008 | Cancelled due to lack of entries RCRC is proud to present the Idaho State Tennis Championship 2008 September 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st. Traditional Rules, scoring, and levels. Sign-up online here or download a sign-up form and bring it to the club. Single $25. Doubles/Mixed $22 per person. Entries must be received by Thursday, Sept 13th by 8pm. $5 late entry fee will be charges for every entry received after the 8pm deadline. If a referral becomes a tennis member you get 1 free months dues +$10 on your T-card for balls, snacks, drinks, etc. If they become a fitness member (which includes use of the pool) you get %50 off 1 months dues + $10 on your T-card. | Recreational Coaches Workshop | February 24, 2008 10am-4pm Anyone interested in learning the basics of coaching and teaching tennis or seeking a refresher on more current methods and effective tools should attend this Recreational Coach Workshop. The RCW will be taught by Holger Nickel who is a specially trained and certified teaching professional. This six hour session covers: games and drills every coach should know, games-based approach to coaching, teaching large groups, and effective team practices.
